Upon the request of the Faculty and Leadership Development Center FLDC of Cairo University to initiate cooperation in the domain of capacity building with the DAAD Kairo Akademie (DKA), Dr. Roman Luckscheiter, Director of the DAAD Cairo Office, suggested to start the endeavored cooperation by offering a DKA “Train of Trainers (ToT)” Module for the FLDC academic members.

The two days’ workshop was delivered by Dr. Astrid Loff (Ludwigsburg University of Education) and focused on topics related to models and methods of training, curriculum development, analyzing learning situations as well as applying training / instructional planning in practice.

Since its foundation in 2011, the DAAD Kairo Akademie (DKA) has been supporting the Egyptian Universities in the field of capacity building and in strengthening the international cooperation through offering a wide range of training opportunities related to the academic filed. These efforts were crowned in 2015 by signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the DAAD and the Supreme Council of Universities to further serve the Egyptian Higher Education.
