On 17th and 18th of November the DAAD Regional Office Cairo hosted a workshop specially for young researchers from the field of German Studies.

The workshop was led by Sophie Stettner, a specialized and experienced trainer in teaching scientific writing skills to non-native German speakers from Berlin.

About 50 young researchers from all over Egypt took advantage of the opportunity to improve their scientific writing skills and build networks with researchers from other universities. Both workshop days were shaped by intensive dialogues and discussions. The participants did not only gain knowledge but discovered that they share common challenges during the writing process. The sharing of possible solutions and recommendations among the participants was one of the many side benefits of the successful event.
