DAAD President Joybrato Mukherjee explains why academic exchange will become even more important in the future.
“Like almost no other event in the past century, COVID-19 has brutally demonstrated how closely our fates are tied together on this planet,” DAAD President Prof. Joybrato Mukherjee states in his video message. He explains why the Corona Crisis should also be recognised as a global chance. Especially with regard to the current challenge – finding a cure and vaccine for COVID-19 – international cooperation in research and in science become more important than ever. “What we need now is not less, but more international cooperation, more academic exchange,” he concludes.
As you all know, with our work at the DAAD Regional Office Cairo, we also take part in bringing international researchers and scientists together in order to build fruitful cooperation. We are very happy to share with you the video message of our DAAD President.
