Long Night of Ideas

It really was a long night of ideas last Monday! And it was full of creative inputs from the DAAD and partners!

“How soon is tomorrow?” That is the question and motto underlying this year’s Long Night of Ideas – an annual event issued by the German Foreign Office and realised by the DAAD.

In this digital event space, many particiating institutions from German universities over academic and welfare organisations like g.a.s.t. and kiron, to the DAAD Regional Office Cairo and Mexico, created interactive content that intended to discuss questions about the relationship between digitalisation and education in today’s time.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a digital studying experience? How does the internet change the way that we study? These questions, among others, were brought to speech and discussed along the virtual exhibition. It was divided into four parts titled after the three stages of the student journey: Orientation & Admission; Study & Mobility; Graduation & Life-Long Learning.

The DAAD Regional Office Cairo designed a unique Alumni Memory Game which portrays some of our esteemed alumni and their remarkable careers.
