In close cooperation with the German Embassy in Cairo, represented by Mr. Philippe Maupai, Head of Science and Protocol, the DAAD Regional Office Cairo held an information session entitled „Arbeitgeber stellen sich vor“ – „Get to know potential employers“ – on the 16th of September 2021: During the event, various German institutions, schools, relevant faculties from universities, language schools as well as the private sector presented themselves as potential employers within the Egyptian labor market in presence of a wide group of graduates and master’s students of the majors „German as a Foreign Language“ and „German Studies“.
This virtual 3-hour event was open for all universities in Egypt offering German study programmes and it was able to attract graduates from all around the country. The active participation of the audience showed great interest in the event. Followed by interesting Q&A Sessions, the speakers offered precious insights into their profiles in an interacting way. We cordially thank Ain Shams University, Helwan University, the German University in Cairo (GUC), the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), the German Embassy itself, the Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir, Sykes Egypt, Egyptian-German Cultural Center (ÄDK), Nefertari International School, El-Quds Language School and Sharm El-Sheikh College as well as our guests for their participation! We hope the future graduates and experts from German-related study fields will be the talents that could give an important contribution to the missions and strategies of potential employers. We wish you all the best for a brilliant career opportunity!
