Call for Applications: Falling Walls Lab Cairo 2023
Students and early-career professionals can now apply for Falling Walls Lab Cairo on 11 July 2023 to present their innovative ideas – in 3 minutes each. Applications are due on 11 June 2023.
In the framework of the event, selected participants are given the opportunity to present their solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our time to peers, a high-calibre jury, and the general public. The first-place winner of the Lab qualifies for the global finale in Berlin on 7 November and wins a ticket to attend the Falling Walls Science Summit, where they get to interact and network with the world’s movers and shakers of science, business, and policymaking. At the global finale, the international Lab winners compete to become the Breakthrough Winner in the Emerging Talents category of Falling Walls, taking home the title and prize money, and receiving the opportunity to pitch their idea once again on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year, which, throughout the day, hosts leading experts, changemakers, and luminaries.
Falling Walls Lab Cairo will take place on 11 July 2023 at 5PM. Applications can be submitted online via www.falling-walls.com/lab/apply/cairo until 11 June 2023. Falling Walls Lab Cairo is hosted by the DAAD Regional Office Cairo.
Falling Walls Lab is organised by the Falling Walls Foundation and generously funded by Berlin’s Natural History Museum (global finale), and Google and Springer Nature (international Labs). It is supported by Sartorius, the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
