Innovation has long been a topic which was only relevant for people working in research and developing departments. Today, however, as corporate strategies focus more and more on innovation leadership, the whole corporation – from marketing to production and procurement - is challenged to become innovative. An important ground for changing and turning the whole corporation into innovation leadership is an innovative organisational culture. An innovation culture in a firm creates an open and fertile ground for new products, new services and business models.
In the light of collaborations in the fields of research and to generate cooperation and new projects between Arab and German academics, Prof. Dr. Michael Stephan from Philipps-Universität Marburg will be giving a lecture under the title
“Creating a Fertile Ground for Innovative and Successful Organisations: Innovation Culture - Best Practices of Firms in Germany”.
In his lecture, Prof. Stephan portrays and analyses best practice cases of German firms which have achieved superior innovation performance and success by an innovative organisational culture. Lessons for Egyptian firms will then be developed and discussed in the latter part of the presentation.

COSIMENA (Clusters of Scientific Innovation in the Middle East and North Africa) is the DAAD Cairo Office’s regional initiative that aims to ensure more intensive networking between researchers of the region and Germany and intends to facilitate the access to the German higher education and research landscape.
