Non‐accredited programs offered at the BSA include an Artist Diploma certificate program for advanced musicians who are preparing to embark on a performing career, and a Preparatory Program. The Barenboim‐Said Akademie is a state‐recognized institute of higher learning in accordance with Berlin higher education law.

A Supportive Environment

The BSA offers comprehensive stipends to all BMus and Preparatory Program students. Additionally, the Akademie offers complimentary individual academic advising, Alexander Technique courses and Counselling Services for all students.

Performance Opportunities

The world‐renown Pierre Boulez Saal provides students a nurturing environment to take their first steps under the spotlight: as part of their curriculum, students present several one‐hour concerts during the academic year, introducing themselves to their audiences.

An International Ensemble

Students and faculty hail from over 26 countries representing a world of diverse backgrounds and experiences. The Akademie is also unique in that it focuses on admissions from the Middle East and North Africa.

Admission is a two‐step process: applying and auditioning:

• November 2022: Applications available for the 2023‐24 Academic Year
• January 2023: Application deadline
• May 2023: Auditions held at the Barenboim‐Said Akademie in Berlin
• Early July 2023: Notification of Admission
