DAAD Kairo Akademie Policies

The requirements and general conditions of attending modules at the DKA are being explained.

Independence

Attending modules of the DKA is not a requirement for the application for scholarship programmes of the DAAD. However, the DAAD strongly encourages students and researchers interested in studying or research abroad to participate in the further trainings offered in order to strengthen their position in international competition.

Free of Charge

The further training activities of the DKA are part of the DAAD activities targeting the development and internationalization of the Egyptian Higher Education and Research Landscape. Accordingly attending modules is free of charge for all participants.

Evaluation and Quality Assurance

In order to continuously enhance its further training activities and to assure the high quality of modules held by the DKA, participants are asked to evaluate each module. Results are reviewed regularly by organizers together with trainers and adjustments are implemented if necessary.

Punctuality

DKA demands from participants to be fully committed to the modules. A delay without previous notification of the organizer is unacceptable. Therefore:

  • Participants coming after 9:15 will not obtain a certificate
  • Participants coming after 10:00 will not be allowed to attend the module at all
  • Participants leaving before the official end will not obtain a certificate

Accepted candidates who have confirmed their participation and repeatedly fail to appear will be excluded from DKA activities without further notice.

One Person One Module

In line with the high demand of DKA modules, a repeated access to the same module cannot be granted.

Due to the high demand for DKA modules, and in order to benefit as many academics as possible, the number of modules that each candidate may participate in will be limited to four modules this year. Thank you for your understanding!
